Effortless Layers

Embrace the art of layering to create dynamic outfits. Begin layering with a snug base layer. The ideal options are fitted mocks or turtlenecks, or soft knit sweaters or tees that provide warmth without adding bulk. Choose fabrics that feel comfortable against your skin, ideally breathable ones like pure cotton, cotton blends and viscose – since you will be layering over top, these materials will ensure any moisture is wicked away from your body.

This viscose blend turtleneck is a perfect base layer not only for its versatile neutral shade, but also for its fibre content. Viscose is a semi-natural fibre which is highly breathable making it soft and comfortable against the skin. Pairing it with a geo print cardigan which also has a high collar adds extra warmth to beat the winter chill, allowing you to skip the scarf if you so choose. In bottoms, corduroy not only has a soft hand, but is also insulating. The dense weave, forming microcords, not only makes it resilient against wear and tear but also offers a layer of warmth.

Neutral Territory

Who said a winter wardrobe should be mostly made up of dark colours? Neutral tones like oatmeal or latte are winter-appropriate too and if done right, can look luxurious and elegant. A splash of bright colour can help beat the winter woes, and this placement print tee features an abstract print accented with warm amber yellow – in 100% cotton its breathable too. The highlight of this look is the plush cardigan with a warm and cozy teddy-like feel in the same shade as our popular power stretch pant. This winter look is complete with a classic cotton blend scarf in a happy amber yellow.

Velvet Touch

Cold weather dressing is all about the cozy factor. The feel of fabrics and knits that are brushed or have pleasant, lofty texture is especially appealing during late Fall and Winter. Fabrics with a velvety touch – true velvet or uncut corduroy – are not only luxurious but also have the body and weight ideal for providing warmth. This sophisticated look combines a breathable viscose turtleneck as the base, layered with a luxe blazer in velvet with the perfect amount of subtle shimmer. Paired with a cord trouser in rich mulberry and finished with a playful scarf, the look is chic.

Shimmer on Shimmer

Mastering the art of a layered outfit is achieved when the result looks effortless and polished. A layered look does not necessarily mean bulky or chunky sweaters all the time. It is very possible to look effortlessly elegant when dressing for the cold. Choose clothing made from functional fabrics that provide insulation without compromising style. Fabrics like wool, cashmere, and fleece are not only warm but also have a luxurious feel. The base layer of this look is a breathable tank in 100% cotton for comfort, you can also opt for a full sleeve t-shirt. Layered over top is a statement sweater in a cotton/viscose blend, the yarns are lofty and cozy for warmth but still lightweight. This style features delightful eyelash yarns and a touch of silver shimmer. Layering on that shimmer, the oversize blanket scarf has sequin accents and is an absolute must-have, giving warmth and style in one easy piece. A sleek Punto di Roma pant is ideal for colder months – the fabric is buttery soft but is also tightly woven acting as a barrier for cold winds. Finishing off this chic layered look is a mixed media coat which also has shimmery nylon patches which makes it special. A high content of the favoured seasonal fiber, wool, this coat provides thermal insulation to keep you both stylish and warm.

This winter don’t compromise style for comfort. Embrace colour and texture. If the temperature is sub-zero, think of ways to wear your favourite sweaters and cardigans by adding comfortable underpinnings. Additional layers increase insulation and warmth retention, just be sure that your base layer has a high content of breathable fibres like cotton and viscose.

We believe that every woman deserves to feel confident and comfortable, no matter the weather. Get out there and enjoy the beauty of winter in style.
